Fair Homes Next Steps CIC

 

We currently offer our services to have 8 homes throughout Birmingham, in addition we have a 14 bedded hostel in Hamstead Road Handsworth. 

 

Fair Homes Next Steps was founded on the idea that young people in care lose their funding at 18 years old but clearly, many could not cope with the daily trials and tribulations of life on their own without the support needed to aid their transition from care to independent life. Fair Homes Next Steps was born to aid the young person’s needs and assist them in developing the skills they will need when living independently in the community.

The Fair Homes Next Steps team are offering:

• Regular Drug & Alcohol support

• Crisis Intervention & Prevention initiatives

• Going For Gold program

• Sexual Health

• Offending behaviour

• Independent Living skills

• Money management

• Advocacy

• Anger Management

• Benefit Advice

• Legal Advice

 

The Fair Homes Next Steps project is taking the holistic approach to supporting young people. The primary targeted age range will be 18-21 years.

The team have been working together for a number of years and have developed similar beliefs surrounding support and engagement of young people, Education, Honesty and Guidance.

What will Fair Homes Next Steps offer? We offer all young people an after care service once they have moved on to full ​
